Kondie Lykins, PA-C, joined Access Medical Clinic in August 2024 and works at the Laurell Hill, North Carolina, clinic. Kondie was selected as an Employee of the Month for April because of his respectful and kind treatment of others. He’s described as being a team player, consistently delivering on promises, upholding integrity, and actively contributing to the team’s growth.
He attended Brigham Young University and Campbell University. Initially, he studied engineering, and then realized his true passion was working with people, not machines or processes, which led him to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant. Kondie wrote in his PA school application about the impact he hoped to have in this career: “One child wrote about their father: ‘My dad works in an office and writes a lot of memos that people don’t read.’ Another child wrote: ‘My dad helps people, cleans wounds, puts in stitches, and encourages people to live healthy.’ The second dad has the better job.”
Kondie has been married for 26 years and is the proud parent of eight children. Outside of work, he’s a self-proclaimed “hippie” and you will typically find him somewhere in nature – the beach, lake, river, woods, or, his “natural habitat,” a farmer’s field. He also serves as Branch President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Sandhills, North Carolina, area.
“Every healthcare company talks about patient-centered care, but Access [Medical Clinic] truly lives it. So far, with AMC, every manager with whom I have interacted is also involved in caring for patients.”
