Congratulations to Whitley Harriss, FNP-C, on being named Access Medical Clinic’s Provider of the Month!
Since joining AMC in April 2019, Whitley has provided compassionate, patient-centered care at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab and Lakes of Maumelle Nursing and Rehab. Her dedication to her patients and the support she provides to families make her an outstanding member of the AMC team.
Whitley’s passion for healthcare began in high school after meeting the APRN at her primary care provider’s office. Inspired by the impact she saw, she pursued nursing, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Arkansas University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University.
When asked what accomplishment makes her most proud, Whitley shared that it’s the gratitude she receives from patients and their families.
“Knowing I’ve been able to provide care, compassion, and support—whether helping someone recover or guiding a family through the end-of-life journey of a loved one—is the greatest measure of success in my career.”
Whitley says one of the things she loves most about working at AMC is the unwavering support she’s received throughout her career. “I know support is always a text, email, or call away.”
Outside of work, Whitley enjoys cooking, trying new recipes, and hosting family and friends. She and her husband of three years also enjoy spending time with their dogs, Winston and Melo.
Her personal motto, “Be kind and treat others the way you would want your loved ones to be treated,” is evident in the compassionate care she provides every day.
