This month we’re proud to recognize Naomi Straub, LPN, at our Black Rock clinic.

Naomi joined AMC in April 2023 and has become a valued member of both the clinic team and the community she serves. She attended Black River Technical College, where she earned a Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing along with an Associate Degree in Health Informatics.

Although Naomi once considered a career in law enforcement, inspired by several members of her family, she discovered her passion for helping others through healthcare instead.

That desire to serve others is reflected not only in Naomi’s work but also in her personal journey. When asked about the accomplishment she is most proud of, Naomi shared that she is proud of how far she has come.

“Ten years ago, I was a single mom struggling to make ends meet. I’m thankful for how far I’ve come and hopeful for what the future holds.”

Since joining AMC, Naomi says one of the most rewarding parts of her role has been the opportunity to care for patients while also becoming part of their local community. Her teammates describe her as helpful, kind, and a good listener.

Outside of work, Naomi enjoys listening to podcasts, reading, and playing video games as ways to recharge. She also supports her local library and enjoys attending gaming events with the NEA Gamer’s Guild when she has the opportunity.

Family is at the center of Naomi’s life. She married her husband and best friend, Corey Straub, in 2021 — the same year he adopted her oldest daughter, Desiree. Their family continued to grow with the arrival of their youngest daughter, Natalie, in 2022.

We are grateful to have Naomi as part of the AMC family!
