At Access Medical Clinic, our team members are at the heart of the care we provide — and this month, we’re proud to spotlight Amanda Cowell, APRN, FNP-BC, who serves patients at The Crossing at Riverside in Searcy, Arkansas.
Amanda’s journey into healthcare began with a deep personal experience. After losing her grandmother to cervical cancer at the age of 62, she developed a desire to better understand the human body and the diseases that affect it.
That calling ultimately led Amanda to pursue advanced education, earning her master’s degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Her academic journey carries special meaning, as she was the first person in her family to graduate college.
Now in her fourth year with Access Medical Clinic, Amanda has built meaningful relationships with the residents she serves in long-term care. When asked about her patients, Amanda said, “I enjoy working with the patients in the long-term care facility that have become my family, not just patients.”
Those close to Amanda describe her as dependable, caring, and a strong Christian woman. These qualities shine through both her professional and personal life. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, swimming, bird watching, and participating in church activities, finding time to recharge while staying connected to her faith and community.
Amanda’s commitment to caring for others extends beyond the clinic as well. She partners with local CASA workers, helping coordinate essential items needed for children entering foster home placements.
Guided by her personal motto, “Trust in God at all times,” Amanda brings compassion, dedication, and faith-driven purpose to everything she does.
We are grateful to have Amanda as part of the Access Medical Clinic family and appreciate the difference she continues to make in the lives of her patients, teammates, and community.
